Denise Keehn

 P.T., D.P.T

Denise is the Owner and Director of Northern Valley Physical Therapy and continues to practice as a licensed physical therapist. After receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree from Russell Sage College/Albany Medical College School Physical Therapy in 1979, she began her career in rehabilitation at the Kessler Institute in West Orange New Jersey. 


She then transitioned into inpatient/outpatient care at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. While working and attaining continuing education credits, she began her own private practice in-home care and sports medicine. She then opened a private practice office in Fort Lee, New Jersey specializing in TMJ pain, dysfunction, and postoperative treatment.


 Northern Valley Physical Therapy, P.A. was established in 1982 as a partnership specializing in workers' compensation injuries and orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation. With her leadership, the practice has evolved, expanded, and met the challenges of our changing health field. Today under her direction, Northern Valley Physical Therapy and River Vale Physical Therapy provide excellent professional care at the highest level. Being responsible for the quality of care is her most important objective.


In 2018, Denise completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Dominican College in Blauvelt, New York. Moving forward, her personal mission statement is as follows:

As a dedicated physical therapist, I will listen attentively while evaluating patients with movement dysfunction. I will combine skilled treatment methods with Respect, instruction, and encouragement to achieve effective, positive patient outcomes.

Joseph A. Massaro

Joseph A. Massaro

P.T., D.P.T. 

Joseph was born and raised in Old Tappan, NJ, and graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School. Dr. Massaro graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, then went on to achieve his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Rutgers School of Health Related Professions (formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey), where he received the Academic Excellence Award for superior academic performance.


For the past 10 years as a licensed clinician, Dr. Massaro has prided himself on providing an outstanding level of individualized care for patients of all ages. His specialties include orthopedic rehabilitation as well as fall prevention therapy.


 Joe is passionate about physical therapy because the field is rapidly growing and expanding into new roles, and physical therapists can truly make an impact on patients from all walks of life. He has always enjoyed the teaching aspect of physical therapy, and his experience as a Neuroscience Teaching Assistant for the DPT program means that he excels in helping his patients understand every phase of the rehabilitation process.


He is excited about the future of the field of physical therapy, and shares the APTA’s vision of “transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.”


Tracey Grant

P.T., D.P.T.

Tracey Grant has been practicing as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist for the past 15+ years. She began her career in New York City working in an orthopedic/sports rehab clinic, treating patients of all ages and physical activity levels. On the weekends she worked at Beth Israel Hospital on the acute rehabilitation floor, helping patients return to basic activities such as walking and stair climbing. Tracey enjoys rehabilitating patients after surgical procedures and seeing them thrive as they return to everything from grocery shopping to running marathons.


Tracey received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University in 2008 and her Bachelors of Science, with a concentration in Exercise Physiology, from the University of Delaware in 2005. In her spare time she loves to be outside, playing pickleball, going for a run or enjoying family time at a park.


Recently Tracey has taken continuing education classes in balance training and falls prevention.

Tracey Grant

Theodore Ambrosio

Teddy is currently enrolled in the Kinesiology and Exercise Science program at William Patterson University.  Following graduation in May 2024,  he aspires to enter a Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy.  Teddy notes he is passionate about the field of physical therapy.  He enjoys being part of the rehab team, especially observing slow, steady patient progress on the way to accomplishing their goals.  As a certified personal trainer,  Teddy likes to make fitness fun at all levels.


Hallie Plescia

Hallie was graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology.  She will be entering the Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at Columbia University in the fall of 2024.  Hallie notes she has always dreamed of becoming a physical therapist, and working at RVPT as an aide has increased her passion for the field of physical therapy.  She looks forward to being a physical therapist in "just a few years".
